Requirements to drive
These are the minimum requirements to become a verified MiRide driver. Every requirement is there to protect riders and to protect you.
- A roadworthy, compliant vehicle
- Valid Driver's Licence — Class 4 minimum
Motorcycle couriers: A valid motorcycle licence is accepted in place of a Class 4 driver's licence. All other requirements apply.

How do I apply to drive?
Download the MiRide app, tap "Drive with MiRide", and complete your profile. The whole process takes about 10 minutes. You can also start at miride.app/drivers/apply.
What documents do I need to upload?
You need to upload three documents: your National ID, your Driver's Licence, and your Vehicle Registration. All documents are uploaded directly in the app — no in-person visit required.
How does MiRide vet drivers?
Every driver goes through KYC identity verification and document verification — National ID, Driver's Licence, and Vehicle Registration. We also review that the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant. All verification is done by our team before a driver goes live on the platform.
Can I see my earnings before accepting a trip?
Yes. Every trip request shows you the earnings for that trip before you accept. You can choose to accept or decline — no obligation.
How do payouts work?
Your earnings land in your MiRide Wallet after each completed trip. You can withdraw to your mobile money account or collect cash. Payout details and minimum thresholds are shown in the app once you're verified.
