About MiRide

Built for Zimbabwe.

We started MiRide because Zimbabweans deserve transport apps built for Zimbabwe — designed around our networks, our payment rails, our streets.

The gap wasn't an absence of apps. It was an absence of apps that actually worked here — that worked with our payment rails, that kept working when the network dropped, that had a real support team you could talk to in your language, and that took driver and rider safety seriously. MiRide is our answer to that gap.

Our role

What MiRide is, and isn't

MiRide is a technology platform that connects riders, senders, drivers, and couriers across Zimbabwe through one app. We build and operate the platform — the matching, the routing, the payments, the safety features, and the support — so that getting around and getting things delivered just works.

We are not a transport operator. We do not own the cars or motorcycles, we do not employ the drivers or couriers, and we do not set the routes. The drivers and couriers on MiRide are independent partners who choose when, where, and how they work.

The story

Why we built this

Transport in Zimbabwe has always moved — kombis, mushikashikas, private hire. The challenge was never "do people need rides?" — it was "can people trust the way they get them?"

MiRide started with a simple conviction: if you build something that handles the actual constraints — weak-network conditions, mobile-money payment rails, roads that require local knowledge — and you layer safety and trust on top, people will use it.

We are registered and based in Zimbabwe, with our primary office at 7 Tweed Road, Eastlea, Harare. Our team is here — you can walk in, talk to us, and get help in person. We're not a remote operation — we're here.

What we stand for

Four principles that run through every product decision we make.

  • Safety first

Every decision we make — from driver requirements to platform features — runs through a safety filter. If something creates risk for riders or drivers, we don't ship it.

  • Honest pricing

You see the fare before you book. Drivers see their earnings before they accept. We never change those numbers mid-trip.

  • Local respect

MiRide is designed for Zimbabwe — our roads, our networks, our languages, our payment rails. We don't port in a solution built elsewhere and hope it fits.

  • Build for resilience

Load-shedding, network drops, data costs — we build for the real conditions our users face every day. The app works when the network doesn't.
